A modern Library & Information Centre is housed in the campus which is an outstanding learning resource centre catering to the ever growing and uncompromising information and intellectual requirements of the students, faculty, and researchers. The Library holds a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, audio-visual materials, cds/dvds, e-journals, reports, case studies, conference proceedings, training manuals etc. The Library with its modern collection of knowledge resources and innovative information services play an essential role for the academic community in their intellectual pursuits. SIET Library is a hybrid e-library with the state-of-the-art technological applications. The library offers a range of information services set to the highest professional standards. It is the heart of the institution and acts as a center for the collection of literature predominantly related to engineering and its allied subjects and develops a comprehensive collection of information that is useful for teaching and reference purpose. A regular and constant approach is maintained towards enrichment of this collection. The library subscribes to prominent newspapers to inculcate the reading habits for general awareness too.

The library is centrally computerized and Bar-coding system is applied to each issue and return. Apart from Text Books, Encyclopaedias, Reference Books, and General Books of engineering education are also kept in the Library. A large number of Journals and Periodicals have been subscribed for enrichment of the knowledge of the students. Five national dailies are also available. Separate arrangement for their study has been made in the library. The college has an excellent library with a good infrastructure and along with sufficient seating capacity. There is a reading room facility also for both staff and students.

This branch is a smart and intelligent blend of two basic streams of engineering. The basic electrical stream with large applications through electronic engineering stream will provide the knowledge of multifunctional applications. The opportunities in electrical engineering are plenty.

This is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the planning, design, construction, management and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including work such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering. The Civil engineering department is upcoming with all facilities of teaching and research activities related to pedagogical approach. Making of houses, use and disposal of fluid (water), construction of roads and other civil engineering works have always been some of the essential activities of the man.
